Barnsley dementia group plans fundraising walk

Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support is looking for people to take part in a fundraising walk next month.

The event on Sunday, June 14 is held at Worsbrough Mill Country Park.

Walkers can choose to do a 3.5km or 5km route.

The walk will be followed by a bring-your-own picnic with entertainment provided by Kexborough-based all-female choir, The Phoenix Singers.

Linda Pattison, Chief Officer for BIADS, said: “Our celebration walk is always a fantastic day with people doing the walk for a variety of personal reasons.

“Now in its sixth year, this year’s walk is extra special as the month of June sees us here at BIADS celebrate our fifth birthday.”
